Welcome to the Little Hadham Loop. This 5km route will take you around through the country side of Little Hadham and through one of it's Hamlets, Bury Green. The route can get very wet in places after rain so think about whether wellies might be in order depending on the season / weather. If you do not want to walk along the road section of the loop, you can shorten this by turning left along the road after no. 10 (Tin Man), and taking the first footpath on the right heading towards no.15 (Nestled). Locals and dog walkers regularly walk these roads but I appreciate not everyone will want to. The first cache is situated in Millennium Wood was planted with 2000 trees and shrubs throughout 1999 and completed in 2000. The land was previously owned by GSk and they contributed to the cost of developing the wood, with local volunteers planting the saplings (including children from Little Hadham Primary School). Two main paths were planned and a pond originally dug (though this did not succeed due to drainage issues). The woods are managed still by local volunteers and extensive work is planned over the coming 5 years to establish paths and develop open areas to encourage further wildlife to inhabit this area. You are looking for a creepy crawly nano container living in the woodpile. You will need tweezers to remove the log. If it's wet underfoot generally, the wood will be very muddy in areas and I recommend wellies. Congratulations to dut dut 89 and lewisjhall - FTF
