INTRODUCTION:
So many cachers have biked or walked the K & P Trail picking up our caches, that we thought it was time to honour them for their troubles/enthusiasm/pain. In no particular order we have named these caches for cachers that have demonstrated their eagerness to complete sections, whether it be Ticket, Fauna or Flora or all of them.
BONUS CACHES:
Each cache contains a clue for two bonus caches, aptly named for the cachers who placed all of these gems for you. Keep track of them. Don't be surprised if you find repeats (this is on purpose, to help you). You might want to have a piece of paper prepared with a list from A to Z and AA to HH.
TRANSPORTATION:
These caches are further apart than the ones North of Calabogie as you are able to drive this single lane country road. Biking though would be just as lovely (yes, the hard packed dirt road is good to bike on). There are several bodies of water along the way where you could stop and have a lunch. Suggest you not drive it in a low slung sports car. Be prepared to back up for oncoming "traffic" or squeeze over to the right. Logging trucks may show up out of nowhere!
CACHES:
None are hard to find. The purpose of these "hides" is to get you out along the pretty trail. The last thing we want is to hear how you spent ages looking for a cache whilst swatting mosquitoes. Choose your time of year and you will not have any problems.
GEOCACHER MENTIONED:
Hill677 is from the Petawawa area and did the earlier caches on the K&P with the Petawawa Geomob. We are happy to have cachers from all areas do this trail. Bring the kids along for these ones as you can drive.
