Geocache Description:

A reboot of an old cache that was archived, although the cache was always there! A tricky puzzle cache designed to test the wordsearch skills (among other things) of those who try to find it.

The cache is not at the published co-ordinates, however you will need to go there in order to find the cache.

As was mentioned above, this is a reboot of a cache which was archived unnecessarily, as such, most of you will have already found it - feel free to do so again, if you choose (favourite points may be transferred :p). For those who are interested, here is a link to the previous page: In the pictures, you will find a wordsearch with a twist! In order to find the final position of the cache, you will need to find and cross off all of the things listed below. The remaining letters will then form a message which will lead you to the cache.

Things to Cross off:

1) At the listed co-ordinates, there is a square, 17x15 which contains a series of letters. Cross off each letter which appears in the same place within the wordsearch

2) Since the waypoint is next to Cardiff Library, the words you have to find are all themed around books. You will need to find the answers to the following questions in the wordsearch:

The name of the TV series spawned by the "A Song of Fire and Ice" Series by George R. R. Martin.
The name of one of the "lead" characters in the above series, who befriends an animal named Ghost.

The name of a book written by Kenneth Grahame.
One of the main characters in this series - the only amphibian!

The longest book in the Harry Potter series.
The first name of Harry's ginger best friend.

The writer of such books as Goldfinger...
The name of the main character/hero of these books.

The name of an Author and "Childrens Laureate" 2013-15.
The name of her most famous book.

The first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The first name of the main character in this trilogy.

The missing word in the title of the Dan Brown novel: The _______ Code.

3) All numbers within the grid.

Ok, once you have done this, you will be left with a message which will allow you to find the cache. The cache is extremely well camouflaged in its surroundings, however if you understand the hint it should be fairly straight forward to acquire.

There is a pen/cil within the cache and room for small swapables.

TakeshisCaches would like to add their thanks to everyone who helped with this cache - specifically, Gareth James for supplying the container and Nic and Rob for their help in placing it.

Good luck and Happy Caching!
