I have been reading the complaints from Geocachers about the seasonal wetness of the location. I have unfortunately moved back to the USA and can't move it. Will someone please reposition the cache for me to a new, dry location and (if necessary) otherwise repair the cache.

Mit diesem cache habe ich vielleicht was Neues angefangen – einen Hybrid-cache?!

Ich habe es mir schon eine Weile überlegt, ob ich nicht einige meiner Bücher, die ich schon gelesen habe und jetzt im Regal mit Staub bedeckt sitzen, in Caches hinterlasse, wenn ich die besuche. Das mache ich jetzt mit der Hoffnung, andere werden die Bücher mitnehmen und ein oder mehrere auch hinterlassen, damit ich u. alle Cache-besucher, die gerne lessen, was davon haben.

Ich habe übrigens neulich eine andere ähnliche Gruppe im Internet gefunden, die ‚BookCrossing’ heißt. Du meldest Deine Bücher bei "http://www.bookcrossing.com/"> www.bookcrossing.com an und dann werden die von BookCrossing ‚veröffentlicht’. Die Bücher werden dann auch verfolgt, genauso wie die Cache Travel Bugs.

Du findest also hiermit einen Geocache mit meinen Büchern, die ich bei BookCrossing registriert habe. Ich hoffe, Du nimmst ein Buch und schenkst ein Buch, das Du auch bei "http://www.bookcrossing.com/">www.bookcrossing.com anmeldest.

Dieser ist auch wie ein normal Cache – d.h. Du kannst auch gerne ein Buch rausnehmen und was Anderes hereingeben.

In setting this cache up, I may (or may not) be starting a new type of hybrid cache.

For some time now, I have been considering adding some of my books, the ones I have read and are now sitting on my shelf, to the caches that I visit. I would hope that someone else would then read them, and who knows, if I start a trend and others follow, then I will as well be able to benefit by picking up some material to fill my own reading habit. Recently I discovered another group very similar to geocaching. Called BookCrossing, this group “releases” copies of books that the users have read after registering them online at "http://www.bookcrossing.com/">www.bookcrossing.com. The books can then be tracked online very similarly to the way that travel bugs are tracked now.

This box is therefore a composite – a Geocache filled with books, each of which I have registered with BookCrossing. I am hoping that when you take a book, you will also leave behind a book, and that you will register that book also at "http://www.bookcrossing.com/">www.bookcrossing.com.

Please feel free to use this also as a normal Geocache as well – take a book and replace it with something else.

Initially I have placed the following books in the Cache: (see list above in German text)

All of these are in English, because that is all I have. It would be great if someone could contribute some books in German, as this is, after all, a German Geocache.
