Shirakawago is a village where there are many traditional Gassho Style houses in Shirakawa-mura, Gifu. It was designated as World Heritage in 1995.
The Gassho Style is a house that features a steep thatched roof in order to withstand the heavy snowfall. In Shirakawago, a number of Gassho Style houses make a unique landscape. We can see wonderful scenery every season.
The cache is hidden near the Ogimachi Castle trace observatory. There are many tourists here, so when you search for the cache, please refer to the spoiler photograph and do not trouble tourists. Please enjoy the scenery and geocaching!
Note: In the winter season, it may be difficult to find the cache because of snow.

白川郷は岐阜県白川村にある合掌造りの集落です。1995年に世界遺産に選ばれました。合掌造りとは、豪雪に耐えるために勾配の急な茅葺き屋根を特徴とする住居です。白川郷には合掌造りの建物が多数立ち並び、独特の風景を作り出しています。四季折々、素敵な風景を見せてくれます。
キャッシュは、荻町城跡展望台の近くに隠されています。観光客が多い場所です。探索時はスポイラー写真を参考に、観光客の迷惑にならないようお願いします。
注意：冬季は積雪のため、キャッシュの捜索が困難になる場合があります。
