Geocache Description:

Sited at the junction of the River Yare and Breydon Water the only access is on foot. If afloat the nearest moorings are at Berney Arms Reach.

The riverside walk between the Berney Arms mill and Great Yarmouth railway station is part of two of Norfolk's long distance paths, the Weavers Way and the Wherrymans Way.

The 61 mile Weavers Way links the coastal towns of Cromer and Great Yarmouth whilst the 35 mile Wherrymans Way joins the county's capital Norwich with Great Yarmouth.  This section gives wonderful views across the marshes and across Breydon Water.  The area is teeming with birdlife.

The cache can be accessed by walking the trails from either Great Yarmouth, Reedham or Acle or by taking the train to the request stop at Berney Arms.  If walking across the marshes from Acle you may encounter grazing cattle. This is my first cache and is a small plasticgeocache container.  There is a pencil with the log.

Placed with the kind permission of the RSPB.
