Il geocache è situato in prossimità del presunto luogo di atterraggio della navicella spaziale, sul fondo del cratere nord del monte Sona. Partendo dalle coordinate di inizio del sentiero, è possibile parcheggiare l'auto per proseguire a piedi. Si segue il sentiero sulla sinistra che si inerpica sul cono vulcanico per arrivare sul ciglio del cratere. Da qui, troverete un facile percorso per scendere all'interno del cratere spento, proprio sul fondo, dove secondo le mie ricerche è molto probabile che il disco volante sia atterrato. Troverete delle rovine di un tavolo di tronchi in legno; percorrere 66 passi nella direzione opposta e troverete una piccola grotta naturale: il geocache è proprio lì! :)
The geocache is located near the presumed site of the landing of the spacecraft, on the crater north of Mount Sona. Starting from the coordinates of the beginning of the path, you can park the car and proceed on foot. Follow the path on the left that climbs the volcanic cone to reach the edge of the crater. From here, you will find an easy path to go down inside the crater off, right on the bottom, where according to my research is very likely that the flying saucer has landed. You will find the ruins of a table of logs of wood; take 66 steps in the opposite direction and you'll find a small natural cave: the geocache is right there! :)

«Una sera del mese di aprile 1962, sentii ad un tratto la necessità di recarmi verso l'Etna. Salii in macchina e mi avviai. Avevo la netta sensazione che l'auto fosse guidata non da me, ma da una forza superiore. Mi inerpicai su per i tornanti e raggiunsi Monte Manfré, a quota 1400 metri. Fermai la macchina lungo il bordo della strada e mi avviai a piedi su per un sentiero che portava in cima ad un cratere spento. Ero a circa la metà della ripidissima salita, quando vidi stagliarsi contro il nero della collina la sagoma di due figure, la cui tuta spaziale argentea luccicava sotto i raggi della luna piena. Erano alti, dall'aspetto atletico, dai capelli lunghi spioventi sulle spalle, con degli strani bracciali lucenti come l'oro ai polsi e alle caviglie, con una cintura fosforescente alla vita e strane placche sul petto. Al vederli, il sangue mi si gelò nelle vene e mi sentii inondato di sudore. Erano undici anni che anelavo spasmodicamente di vivere tale momento: ma il luogo isolato, il silenzio tutt'intorno, il buio della notte, l'incontro improvviso, erano tutti elementi che non concorrevano certo a rendermi coraggioso e calmo. Ma fu una cosa di breve durata. Uno dei due Personaggi rivolse contro di me il fascio di luce proiettato da un aggeggio che teneva in mano, e d'improvviso il mio essere fu percorso da un brivido strano e mi sentii pervaso di una calma e serenità indescrivibili: il cuore, che prima sembrava volesse esplodere dal petto, era ritornato a battere regolarissimo.
Guardai i due in volto: illuminati dalla luna intravidi dei lineamenti dolcissimi ed uno sguardo austero e mite a un tempo. Ed ecco che uno dei due mi rivolse la parola in perfetto italiano: "La pace sia con te, figliolo. Ti abbiamo aspettato. Imprimi nella tua mente quanto ti diciamo". E mi dettarono un messaggio da inviare ai Capi di Stato e agli uomini responsabili della terra».

"One evening in April, 1962, I felt a sudden need to go to the Etna. I climbed into the car and walked. I had the distinct feeling that the car was driven not by me, but by a higher power. I climbed up the switchbacks and reached Monte Manfré, at 1400 meters. I stopped the car along the side of the road and started walking up a path leading to the top of an extinct crater. I was about half of the steep climb, when I saw silhouetted against the black of the hill the outline of two figures, whose silvery space suit glistened under the rays of the full moon. They were tall, athletic-looking, long-haired sloping shoulders, with strange shining like gold bracelets on her wrists and ankles, with a belt phosphorescent to the life and strange plates on the chest. On seeing them, my blood ran cold and I was flooded with sweat. They were eleven years that I longed desperately to live this moment, but the isolated, silence all around, the darkness of night, the sudden encounter, all of which were not competed certainly to make me brave and calm. But it was a short-lived thing. One of the two Characters turned against me the light beam projected from a device in his hand, and suddenly my being was a chill strange and I was filled with a calm and serenity indescribable: the heart, that before seemed to want to explode from his chest, he returned to beat very regular.
I looked at the two-faced: the moonlight caught a glimpse of the features sweet and a look austere and mild at the same time. And then one of them spoke to me in perfect Italian: "Peace be with you, son. We waited. Impress in your mind what you say." And they dictated a message to be sent to the Heads of State and the responsible men of the earth. "
