As you can guess from the short description this cache has nothing to do with Edmund Haley's Comet, "Haley's Comet", you remember the one that only comes visible to us earthbound creatures every 76 years.
It is however all about one of our local cachers and friends, Frank (fhaley).
I was out caching in the Arizona desert this last week in the 106 degree dry heat and my thoughts went to how the cachers there must work together to keep the caches in such good shape and keep the game going in this harsh environment. No, it was not heat stroke that got me thinking this way!
Our environment here in Texas can get very rough as well with the high heat + humidity. We are so fortunate to have people here that genuinely care about others and the geocaching games we play. Fhaley is one of those exceptional cachers who always come to the aid of others when he is called and is there for us even when he is not called.
This is my first LPC hide and a tribute to one of my first friends in our fabulous Houston Geocaching Community. I hope you also take a moment to think about those geocaching heroes like Frank that keep the game going for all of us.
