Geocache Description:

Here you will find Jimmy Hinds Park and a recent addition to the North end of the Tucker Trails which is part of the Lanana Creek Trail system here in Nacogdoches.

This traditional ammo can cache is should be easy to find. The area is frequently wet so be sure to stay on the established trail.

In this area you will find a mixture of mainly oak, hickory and pecan trees with some pine thrown in for good measure. Also keep an eye out for some ornamental weeping cypress trees

If you come by in the spring be sure to watch for dewberries. They are good eating right off the vine but watch for the thorny vines.

Parking is close and the walk is short.

This elevated part of the trail is the result of 3 different Eagle Scout projects by Logan Lopez, Pearson Randel and Joshua Rasmussen. Their efforts and leadership greatly contributed to this area of the trails. Logan built the pergola section, Pearson built the bulk of the walkway and Joshua built the ramps and handicap railing.  Additional work was also provided by an SFA graduate student.
