This geocache is by the parking lot of the Smithbrook Trailhead. From here you can hike to the Pacific Crest Trail and onto Lake Valhalla and/or Mt McCausland.
Lake Valhalla is about a 7 mile hike RT with about a 1500' elevation gain from this trailhead. Beautiful lake and a nice moderate hike. Access to NFD Road 6700 off of Hwy 2 to the trailhead is seasonal unless you have a snowmobile or very high ground clearance vehicle during winter.
