Over the years, erosion has had a big impact on this location. A nearby interpretive sign tells the story of what once stood here and how it met its end. A more recent but much smaller victim of the receding bluffs was a cache that was lost when the lookout area was relocated back away from the edge. One can expect the erosion to continue, so come out and enjoy the view while you still can.
On a personal note, the now archived cache that was hidden close by was my first find. This cache is my first hide and I placed it exactly two years to the day after I discovered that first cache. In tribute, I have made the style of this hide match that personal milestone cache.
Park hours are 8:00am to one half hour after sunset. For the first couple months of its life, road construction prevented access to the parking lot close to this cache. Now that the construction is complete, it is a park-n-grab as originally intended.
Congratulations to Reynfamily on being First To Find!
