Geocache Description:

A small clip-lock.

I've lived nearby for over ten years now and never ventured to Longmeadow, so I thought I'd place a series of caches here to encourage others to explore too. Whilst setting out we've spotted (giant) hares and some deer. The loop is about 2.25miles.

Please note the suggested parking as there is no parking on the private road at the end of the village.

As far back as the early 13th century there are records of three hamlets in this area: Lode, Longmeadow and the now lost Angerhale. Looking at a map from the 1790's it looks (to me) as if Longmeadow was literally that - a long meadow that ran from near Bottisham Hall towards the fens.

Hazaah! Congratulations to The Whelan Bunch for being the first to find.
