Blanchman's Farm is a small area in Warlingham which has become a nature reserve. The site was named after Blanchman's Farm which was a working farm until just after World War 2 but records for a farm on this site go back to 1566. After the Farm ceased to be in existence some of the land around the farm was redeveloped. However, this was opposed by local residents and this lead to the foundation of the Blanchman's Farm Nature Reserve.
The cache has been placed with the permission of the Blanchman's Farm Nature Reserve Management and is the first in a series of three. It is hoped that these caches will encourage more visitors to explore the area. This first cache is located just off the main path near the main entrance of the Nature Reserve but is easily accessible although may be muddy in winter. The nature reserve is used by many people including dog walkers so be aware of muggles. There is disabled parking for two cars at the entrance of the reserve but there is plenty of parking in the local side roads but please be considerate when parking.
The cache container is of medium size and contained a log book, pencil and some swag at the time of placing. The GPS coverage may vary when the trees are in leaf.
