We are placing this cache in memory of our friend Lani, who sadly lost her life along with her husband Mark in a tragic vehicle accident on April 5, 2015. Lani was a kind and generous person with a broad smile and infectious laugh. She had a great sense of humor, lived life to the fullest, and brought joy to the many people who knew her. She loved caching, first as World Server which reflected on her job as a flight attendant, which she said was what she did and then as TikiGirl_, which she said was who she was. She received her nickname of TikiGirl from Todd Rundgren, who was her favorite musician, because she always made sure the tiki torches at his concerts stayed lit from the first time she met him in Hawaii, where she was born.
We hope this cache will help her fellow cachers remember Lani. If you were fortunate to be one of Lani's geobuddies, as she called those of us who were her caching friends, please feel free to share stories in your log of the times you enjoyed with her.
