The Motoarakawa River walk #1 ~Enoto weir park~
The Motoarakawa River flows through Gyoda City, Kounosu City, Kuki City, Okegawa City, Saitama City and Koshigaya City. The river joins at Koshigaya City Nakajima. The river is 61kirometers length.
There are 17 bridges across the river in Kounosu City Fukiage area. Those bridges are chosen by Japan Society of Civil Engineers as one of “Construction Techniques of Modern Civil Engineering Heritage”
And there are over 500 cherry trees on both banks of the river. The rows of the cherry trees stretch for 2.5kilometers. Therefore it is so beautifully by cherry blossoms in spring.
This cache is hidden in Enoto weir park where is the starting point of “The Motoarakawa River walk”.
There is no a parking by the cache point. It is fifteen minutes’ walk from JR Takasaki line Fukiage station south exit to the park.
It is fifty minutes’ walk from “The Motoarakawa River walk #1 ~Enoto weir park~” from “The Motoarakawa River walk #9 ~Koya bridge~” (It is not contain a time for looking for caches).

元荒川散策#1～榎戸堰公園～
元荒川は、行田市、鴻巣市、久喜市、桶川市、蓮田市、白岡市、さいたま市を経由し、越谷市中島で中川に合流する、延長61kmの河川です。
鴻巣市吹上地区の元荒川には、17の橋が掛けられています。これらの橋梁群は公益社団法人土木学会の「日本の近代土木遺産」に選定されています。また、両岸2.5kmに亘り、500本を超える桜がうえられており、春には、きれいなさくらが咲きます。
このキャッシュは、元荒川散策コースの起点である「榎戸堰公園」設置しました。
周辺に駐車場はありません。JR高崎線吹上駅南口から榎戸公園まで、徒歩15分です。
元荒川散策#1～榎戸堰公園～から元荒川散策#9～小谷橋～まで、徒歩で約50分です(キャッシュの捜索時間を含まず)。GCしながら、元荒川に掛けられた、橋梁群を楽しんでください。
