The event will be held at Pavilion #9 in Brahan Spring Park. A playground, volleyball courts, and a disc golf course are close by -- as is an electric outlet for the projector. The park closes one hour after sunset and the 16 films last about one hour; therefore, the curtains will rise right precisely at sunset. At the moment, that is estimated to be 4:45 PM.
Before that, everyone is invited to attend the Thirty-First Annual First Saturday in November Party (31FSINP). Every year, for the past few--make that 31--years, I have hosted a party and everyone I know gets invited. It used to be known as "When Worlds Collide". Over the years, it has evolved into an all-night Game Night. However, since we have to vacate the premises an hour after sunset this year, it won't even get to late-night. 31FSINP will get started around 1:00 - bring your favorite game and be ready to teach the gang how to play. Muggles that are invited will be warned that the topic of conversation might just be rather geo-centric.
Oh, and bring a snack to share.
You might want to bring a jacket and camp chair for the GIFF portion of this fabulous evening. Oh, just so you know, you'll get a special GIFF souvenir for your profile by attending this event! By the way, during the break between Summer and Fall Quarter, I embarked on a 14-day, 14-state, geo-Adventour; after my return, it took me more than two weeks to log my finds and post related pictures-and still have some more of that to do! You might have the opportunity to watch a slide show of my ROAD TRIP '15 Adventour ... and listen to me ramble on and on about every cache found (or not) and all the historic and/or scenic spots and movie locations that I visited on the trip. This presentation might last for an hour or two, But not to worry, no matter how long (and boring) that might be, the curtain for the GIFF will rise as scheduled! .
