This cache was placed as a part of the Greater Gainesville Caching Weekend 2015 and is one of several caches that will need to be found to find the bonus cache at the end.
Prairie Creek Preserve is one of several land conservation projects maintained by the Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT). There are several miles of trails that wind through mixed hardwood hammocks, planted pine trees and natural wetlands. The trails in the preserve are named for land conservation activists Jane Walker, Kathy Cantwell and Susan Wright.
If you plan on attempting all of the caches that are in the preserve in one day, plan on approximately an 8 mile hike and be sure that you take proper precautions such as having sufficient water available, being aware of your surroundings due to potentially dangerous wildlife and know that the trails are natural and often have uneven terrain which will require paying attention to where you are walking to avoid injury.
Enjoy the trails!
