På 1930-talet startade en debatt om Sveriges svaga folkökning efter att Alva och Gunnar Myrdal skrivit boken ”Kris i befolkningsfrågan”. För att gynna barnafödandet byggdes så kallade barnrikehus. Här skulle familjer med fler barn få bo tillräckligt stort och modernt till en rimlig kostnad. I Katrineholm byggdes barnrikehus bland annat på Friggagatan på 1930-talet. Kravet för att få en lägenhet här i ”Myrdalen”, som området kallades, var att familjen skulle ha minst tre barn. Andra reformer som infördes för att öka födsloantalet var barnbidrag, moderskapspenning och mödrahjälp. Husen på Friggagatan byggdes 1937 med 16 lägenheter om ett par rum och kök med centralvärme, toalett, badrum och egen ingång. Typiskt för hus från denna tid är ljus, slät puts och ganska fyrkantiga former. Tidstypiska är också trappräckena - en stil som åter blivit populär på 2000-talet. Husen visar en framtidstro och nyfikenhet på nya byggmaterial och nya byggmetoder. But in order to find the cache you will have to take a close look at the English information sign that also is available at the starting coordinates. The cache is hidden X meters away from the sign in bearing Y degrees. To be able to find X and Y you will have to count the occurrence of the letters W, Z and Q in the English text (use only the main text, disregard the quotes and image texts) and also to count the occurence of the letter G on the sign at the corner of the nearest house. Count both uppercase and lowecase letters.
