This Chicago Northwestern Caboose blends in perfectly with the painted backdrop of a very realistic railroad mural. Boone is a railroad town, best known for the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad museum and train rides.
Built in 1958 this extended vision caboose was originally known as Rock Island #17022. The caboose at Boone now displays the CNW with the registration numbers 12566. Steps lead up to each end, but the doors remain locked.
