Geocache Description:

Ok, this one is a bit unusual. Normally my "Restaurants of Yesteryear" series highlights restaurants that have long closed but were "VERY GOOD" while they were open. I was traveling from Camden, TN to New Johnsonville, TN yesterday to find some geocaches when I noticed a really big sign in the woods next to an empty lot that simply read "Restaurant". It's a large once lighted white sign with black letters. You can't miss it. It did ask several people that I work with in Camden about the sign and they all said, "Yeah there was a restaurant there but it closed a long time ago." A couple of them did eat there and said it was good. I am looking for a little help from my fellow geocachers on this one. If you live in Camden and know what the name of this restaurant was, please send me a message to let me know and I will update the geocache page. Even if I don't find out the name, I really like the sign and figured it was a cool place for a geocache. You are looking for a small altoid container that has magnets on the back.It is hidden in plain sight but you may miss it if you are not careful. There is some small swag to trade. Good luck and Happy Caching.

UPDATE: This information was provided by LBoodles. Thanks my friend for the information. "The restaurant that was located between Camden and New Johnsonville was known as Frank's Restaurant and was operated by the Bivens family whose home was located directly across the highway. It was a small white lap board building when I moved to the area in 1958. I don't remember when they build a much larger red brick building but it was really nice. In later years a Peek family from New Johnsonville operated it. I don't remember what year it burned but it was never rebuilt. Maybe someone who was raised in Benton County can enlighten the story of the restaurant more for you."
