Tacoma Tribune article.
Bring a fishing pole if you search for this one.
This cache is in honor of my cat who I had put to sleep after 16 years of purrfect company.
Ammo box contains...
Log book, pen & pencil
2 Water bombs
1 expanding Empire state building (600x)
assorted cat toys (mostly mice)
cat collar
5 'cat crap', one per customer, please
7 bumper stickers "Geocaching, where YOU are the search engine!"
3 yellow duckies (2 big, one little)
5 cans of Fancy Feast
Cache had to be scooted about 20' from above coordinates to avoid falling in the river again. Use your geosense, it should be easy enough to spot.
You WILL get your feet wet on this one but nothing over your ankles. The difficulty level may increase with wet weather. I doubt it will ever be dry.
This is my first cache. Let me know if the difficulty rating is about right and if the coordinates are good. I took three readings and they matched. Signal strength along the way is poor but improves near the cache.
You can get to this cache via PUBLIC land. Do NOT be tempted to trespass. This may take a bit of brain work to access. And then you get to the fun part!
When you get close, cross the three laner, to the one laner and stop in woodpecker heaven. It's at your feet.
