This cache is yet another non-bushwacking, all-family, all-weather amble over a course of almost transcendental beauty.
Your quest will transport you back to the 19th century for a liesurely stroll through country which can only evoke images of scenes made familiar by Monet.
"Earth has not anything to show more fair. Dull would be the soul who could pass by a sight so touching in its majesty." (Wordsworth, quoted in Charles Frazier's "Cold Mountain".)
In short, the cache is not really a challenge. It is an invitation.
The entrance to the area is about 6 miles northeast of Port Jervis, NY on Highway 209. The road is immediately at the north end of the bridge over the Neversink River at
N41 27.376 W74 35.990. There is a blue historical marker sign at the turn. Keep following the road until you come to the designaed parking area.
