I did manage to finally solve the puzzle below, but it involved a couple of lucky guesses. Love to hear from the puzzle-meisters out there that it can be solved by pure logic alone.
The solution involves putting a letter and a number in each of the 25 squares. The numbers 1-5 and the letters A-E are to appear only once in each row and column. Each combination from A1 through to E5 can appear only once in the puzzle.
The cache is at N45 13.(aii) (ciii) (ei) W075 44.(diii) (dv-ev) (cv). To clarify, (bv) = 8. I believe there is only one correct answer, so no geochecker is needed.
