Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden near the Sacramento River in the SW corner of Sutter County. Follow the directions listed below in order to find the cache. The driving distance is about one and one-half miles, followed by a half-mile walk. There is a stamp (and pad) in the container, or you can use one of your own.

1. Start out by facing west on a street where Wile E Coyote buys his explosives. Drive west for a mile or so until reaching a "T" intersection with a road that reminds you of a lazy cat, or a needle-nose fish, or a country singer. Turn left.
2. Drive south for about one-half mile, park at the white levee gate, and hike south on the levee for two tenths of a mile.
3. Upon arriving at an abandoned boat-launching parking lot, skirt south along the western edge until reaching a well-defined trail that heads south.
4. Walk on the trail for about one hundred yards until reaching the river.
5. Just shy of the river berm, you will find a poorly marked path that heads west, paralleling the river. After a short distance, the river and path veer north.
6. The path is often hard to see, so you will have to be observant as you hike thru the dense riparian jungle. After about 500 ft you will come to a large cottonwood that has fallen and has a large root-ball protruding above ground.
7. The cache can be found under the root-ball.
