One of the most important river estuaries on the Island. The level dyke trail that follows the river out to a viewing platform looking out to Cowichan Bay and back to the parking lot is beautiful! Years of living here to rediscover this gem! So many things to see on Vancouver Island. Fantastic bird population, and still signs of the recent salmon run.
Park right near the lawn tennis club in the small Park lot and head in. Lots of coffee and lunch rewards in Cowichan Bay or back in Duncan. Check it out
