Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

Prairie View Park is a Verona neighborhood park. Facilities include playground equipment, full-court basketball, a shelter with picnic tables, a drinking fountain, a soccer field and a backstop for softball.

It is also the park nearest to our home. When our boys were younger, we referred to it as the 'Purple Playground' as the playground equipment was mostly purple in color. At some point, the playground equipment was removed and upgraded with new equipment. The new equipment contained a rainbow of colors and we switched to first calling it the 'The Playground Formerly Known As Purple', and then the 'Rainbow Playground'.

When our family started geocaching there was a puzzle cache located here that we were excited to grab since it was so close to home. We looked at the puzzle and immediately noticed that it referenced the old, purple equipment so this became the first cache that we marked as 'Needs Maintenance'. Soon afterwards the cache was archived.

That brings us to now, when we are finally getting around to placing our first geocache. We thought we might as well replace the first cache that we were responsible for archiving. We also decided to make it a puzzle cache. Answers can be found on or near the playground equipment or on the plaque that can be found at the posted coordinates. The park can be very popular at times, so watch out for muggles.
