You're looking for a big metal ammo can on this one. If you found the cache that was here some years in the past you'll be looking near the same area, but not quite as easy. I put a few pens in with the log, but BYOP just in case as it'll be a long walk back if you forget it.
The thorns, briars, and weeds are going to be thick at times. There's just no way around it out here so get ready to suck it up. This one isn't easy and I didn't intend it to be. It was a pain in the rear in the past, but a fun one to find.
FTF don't look for anything too awfully special in the cache. I just thought it'd be nice to leave a lot of room for you guys to put whatever you want in here as we don't tend to have too many mid to large sized caches on the coast. This would be a great place to offload your TBs.
There are signs of past "residents" in the area with an emphasis on "past". I've been out here several times over the last couple years with the dog and it seems to no longer to be hot spot it used to be for transients to camp out. Regardless don't go after this one after dark and I'd recommend taking a partner (or pooch) just in case if for anything just for your own peace of mind.
Also please cache-in trash out on this one! This is a beautiful nature trail area that needs some of TLC. If everyone that goes after this cache carries out a little bit of trash it'll help make up for the neglect and misuse this area has seen in the past.
