This cache is located along the Currie Loop of the Casey Jones State Trail, just a short walk up the trail from the canoe access. Please do not park on the bike trail or at the access. There is a county park parking lot within easy walking distance nearby. Please respect all state park rules. It is a beautiful spot and site of the first settler's cabin in what became the Lake Shetek settlement in 1856. Take time to read the sign and you'll see why they would have settled here.
