Geocache Description:

One of our favorite back country day hikes. A few easy stream crossings and a bit of an altitude gain in the last mile or so. There's no need to go off trail until you are right at the cache site. There's a great spot to stop for lunch so bring a picnic!

Go to the Upper Oso camping area off Paradise Road. At the Upper Oso gate and parking lot there's a dirt road that's closed to motor vehicles. The actual trailhead is a mile or so up that road. (There's a lovely and shaded creekside trail that we like to take to avoid the road, but it's not in great shape, so you'd have to be the adventurous type!)

The cache itself is in a large ammo container. In addition to a log book, pen, and disposable camera (please be sure to take your picture and write the picture number in the logbook!) the cache contains an assortment of goodies, including:

* "High Flying Helo" travel bug (who likes high altitudes!)
* Travel First Aid Kit
* Battery Operated Mini-Fan
* Potato Spud Gun
* Batman Figurine
* Mini T-Rex Jigsaw Puzzle
* Package Of Moist Towelettes
* Thermometer/Compass Keychain
* Package Of Golf Tees
* Stainless Steel Wilderness Whistle

Good Luck!
