Geocache Description:

Welcome to Derby Park. Hidden in the middle of Bootle, this hidden gem of a park is worth a visit. We hope you find our three caches we have hidden, taking you to some of the historic features.

Take a seat and enjoy this beautiful C19 bandstand. Still used on occasion for seasonal concerts by brass bands. Through the summer the grounds are beautifully planted and well maintained. This cache is small and well hidden with only a log so bring your own pen. The octagonal bandstand with stone base, cast-iron bracketed columns, and bell-shaped roof is by James Allan and Son of Glasgow. Low railings between the columns are of late C20 date.
