Bulls Island Cache #1 Traditional Cache
merlin2177: The Bull's Island cache #1 is now archived. Unfortunately it took a little ride of approximately 240ft (according to my GPS readings) during the flood of the Delaware River in late September. WE ACTUALLY FOUND IT AFTER ONLY 30 MINUTES OF SEARCHING!!! The entire cache was intacted with only minimal water damage. I thought this was pretty incredible since it was under at least 10 feet of water for a good couple of days. The logbook actually made it through this ordeal totally dry thanks to a sturdy RUBBERMAID container and some ziplock bags. We have decided to archive this cache even though we did find it. Thanks to all the responsible cachers that visited our cache over the last couple of years! We will be planting a new cache in a different area real soon! THANKS! merlin2177

This cache is hidden in Bulls Island State Park on route 29 between Stockton NJ and Frenchtown NJ.
The cache is in a square shaped tupperware container. It is hidden off a trail in the park that starts across from the park office. The head of the trail is marked with a sign that says: Bulls Island Natural Area-Foot Traffic Only. The trail winds around and almost ends up near the pedestrian bridge, which is not far from where it started. Original items include: santa fishing ornament, Star Wars patch, other kinds of patches, Snoopy PEZ dispenser, various neat polished stones, telephone cord, and AA batteries. It is relatively easy to find with a little bit of bushwacking. Good Luck!
