Oak Leaf Trail 17: Bridge over Green Bay Avenue Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Blue Crow Expedition: I like that this part of the Oak Leaf Trail has a bunch of bridges. They are interesting and they made good hiding places.

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series on the Oak Leaf Trail.

About the Container

You are looking for a small black magnetic container. It is too small to hold most travel bugs or trade items. Please bring your own pen.

About the Location

This cache is hidden on the bridge next to the trail. You don't need to climb anywhere or go down to the street to find it.

This old railroad bridge was part of the C&NW line. According to a nearby plaque it was built by the McClintic Marshall Corporation in 1932. It must not be the original bridge because the tracks go back to the late 1800s. When I first placed this geocache the bridge was still its original color and it was covered with graffiti. The Parks Department painted it gray during the summer of 2016.

About the Series
