We are also part of the ghost hunting community, so we thought we would share some of the lesser known or lesser memorialized places from our local history. This is the first cache in this series. It is on an easement right off the road. Congrats to rose.von.licorne for FTF !!!!
We are also part of the ghost hunting community, so we thought we would share some of the lesser known or lesser memorialized places from our local history. This is the first cache in this series. It is on an easement right off the road, please stay off private property. You are looking for an ammo can. Please visit the Cardiff memorial which is close by and learn the story of this tragic location which was once a booming town. Cardiff was a mining town (you can see the mining mounds to this day) that was founded in 1899. A series of mine disasters in 1903 eventually led to the mines being shut down and the town died off. The series of mine explosions lasted over a few days and resulted in the deaths of 9 men, some of whom were never recovered. Please stop and visit the memorial that has been placed in their memory. We left some swag for trade for FTF. BYOP
