Ancient Water Source at the Southern End of MiyakoJima. Very near the entrance to the Doitsu (German) Cultural Village.
The geocache is hidden at the top of the stairs that decend to the opening of a cave. Not sure if there is a Japanese Gollum down there guarding his precious....A little spooky but a very important place for the area in ancient times, where they drew water. The geocache is also near the parking lot and entrance to the Doitsu (German) Cultural Village. Years ago there was a German vessel that shipwrecked just off the coast. The local people rescued the Germans. They have since built a cultural village, complete with a castle. Find (and log ;-) the geocache and then go have a German beer for 600 Yen !
