I enjoy the outstanding variety of cache-finding opportunities that geocaching offers, from backcountry locations to caches placed in dense urban settings. For the heck of it, I even completed a power trail once on the Pawnee National Grassland, so I'd have a "taste" for that kind of caching, too. But my decided preferences involve remote off-trail and "lonely" caches; "golden oldie" caches that were placed during the early years of geocaching; caches having uncommon D/T star ratings; challenge caches; high mountain placements; puzzle caches; and caches found while Denali50 and I are traveling to other states or international destinations.
Some of my memorable finds are presented here.
Enjoy considering various options for determining the puzzle coordinates. One approach works very well.
By voluntarily accepting the challenge of determining the cache coordinates, you absolve me of all responsibility for any frustrations and mental anguish you may experience while determining the solution. Be tenacious, and you should eventually hit "gold", the correct coordinates. Use Geocheck to learn when you are there, and then go enjoy your treasure, the cache and its log book. In your Found it log, consider listing a few of your favorite cache finds!
Have fun with this puzzle. Despite the cache title, elevation has nothing to do with determining the coordinates.
This puzzle was inspired by a similar one created by FunnyNose (GC4CD8W), which I found after attending the Block Party in 2014. I recall how hard and long I worked on it, and after a couple of pushes from my brother, antlerridgeroad, I became elated when I finally got a positive on the Geocheck! Thanks, FunnyNose, for your inspiring treasure.
