Geocache Description:

Another in our series of Church Micros in the South Wales area.

Not within the Church precincts, so please don't search in the grounds.

On street parking available nearby, area can be busy so stealth will be required,

Built by J. Cook Rees of Neath between 1909 and 1910.
There are stained glass windows in all north, south and east windows designed by Celtic Studios between 1951 and 1966.


The chapel of Ease was erected by Cistercian Monks from Neath Abbey in the 13th Century and is the oldest building in the Dulais Valley, it was the main place of Worship untill the present Church was built in 1910.
The body of a monk was discovered under the western porch.
A poignant grave inscribed "not to be opened" holds two little brothers, who died of contagious illness in 1837 and 1843.
There are Service Graves dedicated to, Private Davies A, Royal Welsh Fusiliers and Sergeant Morgan TL, Royal Air Force Voluntary Reserve in the Graveyard.
