Una collezione del museo
Il Museo della Cultura contadina, è nato per iniziativa del CIF di Colico, ed è stato inaugurato il 20 maggio 2007.
Come dichiara nella sua denominazione, il museo si propone di conservare e offrire alla fruizione del pubblico, soprattutto alle scolaresche, le testimonianze della vita contadina di fine Ottocento e prima metà del Novecento che si estrinsecano in reperti e oggetti materiali e in ricerche che consentono di recuperare beni immateriali della civiltà contadina locale nei cinque aspetti classici di questa tipologia di museo (attività agro-silvo-pastorale; economia e ritualità domestiche, attività artigianali, caccia, pesa e raccolta e attività commerciali e di pubblico servizio). Nelle sue finalità non solo didattiche, ma anche educative, il museo si propone di evidenziare i valori che costituivano la civiltà contadina per riproporli all’analisi degli allievi e dei visitatori in genere.

The Museo della Cultura contadina (museum of peasant culture), was born on the initiative of the CIF association of Colico, and was opened on May 20, 2007.
As stated in its name, the museum aims to preserve and offer to the public, especially to school groups, the testimonies of peasant life in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries that are expressed in exhibits and material objects and in research that allows recover intangible assets of the local peasant civilization in the five classic aspects of this type of museum (agro-forestry-pastoral activity; domestic economy and rituals, craft activities, hunting, weighing and gathering and commercial and public service activities). In its aims not only didactic, but also educational, the museum aims to highlight the values that constituted the rural civilization to propose them again to the analysis of students and visitors in general.
