Geocache Description:

Camp Colorado is one of the Colorado River towns with the most interesting history. Wagon trains heading east were constantly getting attacked by Indians, and the settlers decided to take action. One night, a band of Indians were outside the town of La Paz and the settlers surrounded and killed ten of them. The only problem was this was a band of peaceful Indians who were on their way to town to buy supplies. Tension was raised in the area and the government sent in troops and established Camp Colorado in case more fighting broke out. It didn't and Camp Colorado was abandoned. Today it is farming land.
