Geocache Description:

To reach the cache you hike thru the Morongo Wildlife Preserve on winding boardwalk and dirt trails along a small stream. The complex trail system makes for great exploration for kids of all ages. The hike to the cache is an easy 45 minutes.

Start at parking lot coordinates N 34.03.023 W 116.34.209. Take the Mesquite trail to the Canyon trail heading South. The cache is a small ammo can with GEO sticker. It's covered with a few rocks. Cache started with; a baby TOBASCO bottle, rubber scorpion, Matchbox toy trucks, and other assorted cache goodies. Have fun in this unusually lush oasis complete with marshes of cattails, dwarf willows,watercress, and very large Fremont cottonwood trees. TRAVEL BUGS WELCOME, AND THEIR TRAVEL PLANS EXPEDITED.
