Geocache Description:

Medium sized camo container with a log, pencil, and some goodies inside. Parking is available in a variety of places around the area so i'll leave it up to you. There is free parking in a large lot you can get away with when heading north along Lake St just past the Merril Lynch offices on the right side though labeled private. STEALTH REQUIRED. This hide may be winter friendly but no matter the season be careful descending on the rocks to GZ.

Perfect place for another hide in the series of, "The Band", caches.

Another top-performance of The Band's was a New Year's run for three nights in 1971 at the New York Academy of Music. Upon it's audio release the series of these live performances, the album was called, "Rock of Ages". Personally, this concert is up there with The Last Waltz but they are very different as arguably The Band's prime was around the time of Rock of Ages but The Last Waltz was simply epic in itself with the star-studded artists that performed. Bob Dylan appeared in both and rightfully so as a significant portion of The Band's beginnings were with Dylan along with Ronnie Hawkins. But the latter is a seperate part of their earlier history. Just a sample from this remarkable performance:

. "The Band", being my favorite (and maybe the BEST) band of all time, I thought I might as well make a series of caches based on some of their legendary songs. They have such a unique history with being Bob Dylan's back up band to creating that unique, americana, southern rock, but folky greatness and having the ultimate concert be their last ("The Last Waltz") But it goes way back before they were even with Dylan. An amazing history, an amazing band, mediocre hides. Happy caching!
