Established in the 1960s, Sunnybrae Green Reserve is a green oasis on the edge of an industrial area.
It is an important park for workers on Sunnybrae Road, Porana Road and surrounds to have lunch, especially now that the northern end of AF Thomas Park has been fenced off. You may have driven past this reserve without knowing it is there as there is no signage, yet it has been here for decades.
The reserve could do with bollards and signage along the front, and some fencing at the back to hide the neighbour's rubbish and plantings and help define it as a public space and not private property.
The broken picnic table has recently been removed, and along with it, the previous cache in this reserve. A new picnic table is due to be installed soon.
Cache is a small, camo'd medicine container. Sorry, no room for trackables or goodies.
