Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Please solve the puzzle below to find the final.

My Grandmother Blue Eyes wrote a book about her life. Her mother and father moved from Pennsylvania and staked a claim on the Nebraska prairie. The book is about her childhood in a sod house, meeting her husband and raising their four children on a farm. One of the lines from the book is "Our little soddy home often rang with laughter." This line just makes me smile because it reminds me of our home growing up and I think my Dad's sense of humor may have been passed down through the generations. Grandmother's book was originally prepared on a typewriter, titled Treasured Memories and after much discussion after her death and before publication, it was renamed Prairie Flowers for a Pioneer Bride. My Uncle Dick and my Dad spent many hours getting the book ready for publishing in 2010. Uncle Dick arranged for a typist to transfer the typed book to a word processing format. Then they found a publisher and once it was all complete, they sent copies to relatives, the Curtis Nebraska public library and a black and white copy to the Wheaton Public Library. One day, someone from my church said that she saw Grandmother's book sitting on a shelf in the Wheaton Public Library office and she asked her employees to process the book. She had recognized the family name, saw my children's picture in the book with their Papa and was kind enough to make sure it went on the shelves.

I have worked with books in the past, processing them as a part of my job in a local elementary school library. Some of the tasks were really detailed, right up my alley and not once did I think this job was boring. Books needed to be catalogued, covered, verso pages examined for details and pockets and spine labels needed to be added. Naturally, it is my love of books that meant my children had access to easily over a thousand books in our house, a lot of them from resales and garage sales. Bedtime meant going through a large Stack of Stories that we brought home from the Wheaton Public Library. When it was time to fall asleep, there were still books left for the next day.
