Geocache Description:

A series of caches running along the footpaths from Acton Hall drive on the A449 to Lincomb lane. The map (in the gallery) shows the approximate route of the path. They can also be done as an extension to the Pepwell series, from Pepwell 3 (gc5tcc6). The stroll is a 1 1/2 to 2 mile walk over reasonable terrain but has stiles and definitely some mud, and as the paths cross working farmland, tractors and machinery may be in use. Please bring your own pencil.

Parking is available in the large lay-by on the southbound carriageway of the A449 (N52 18.647 W002 13.820). But please please take great care when crossing the A449; I suggest crossing at the southern (Worcester) end of the lay-by, near Mount Pleasant lane, as the visibility is much better. Other parking opportunities may be found in Bishops wood lane.

Refreshments are available at the Mitre Oak, the snack van in the A449 lay-by, or the golf club on Bishops wood lane has a very nice bar with a splendid carvery at the weekends.

{If you want to walk to Pepwell Peregrination 3 (gc5tcc6) walk down Acton Hall driveway until you reach a grass triangle with a way mark post, now walk north across the field on your left towards the trees in the distance. If the footpath has not been reinstated please use the headland. The footpath now crosses the dam at Stinton pool.}

Our thanks to Mr. Denby the parish path warden for his enthusiasm and encouragement in the production of these caches.

Please note the driveway to Acton Hall it is not a public road although you can walk along it.

From the lay-by walk in a southerly direction the cache site should be obvious.
