Another in the reappearing RR Smiles series highlighting the return of Rail based Transit in NW Oregon!
I have enjoyed this spot since Trimet started building the Orange Line. This is where the MAX Orange Line goes over Harbor Drive as well as the Portland Streetcar. The Streetcar here came first at street level taking a slow S curve down the hill from downtown to Riverplace. Before either of these transit modes, The Willamette Shore Trolley had come up from Lake Oswego to a Terminal at Riverplace. The Orange Line Viaduct is now on what was the WST Right-of-Way. Find the cache then wait for a streetcar to pass on street level, or look up and watch for MAX to go overhead. Post photos!
