This is located near by to the estate of Mount Stewart. Mount Stewart is an 19th-century house and garden in County Down, Northern Ireland, owned by the National Trust. Situated on the east shore of Strangford Lough, a few miles outside the town of Newtownards and near Greyabbey, it was the Irish seat of the Vane-Tempest-Stewart family, Marquesses of Londonderry. The house and its contents reflect the history of the Vane-Tempest-Stewart family, who played a leading role in British and Irish social and political life.
As I said above this cache is in a log on Pig Island in Strangford Lough. This is a small island that has had a lot of memories for me and I'm sure for other people. Most people who visit the island leave a rock on the pile so continue the tradition.
You will have to make sure it is low tide when you go to get it as it is on an island but be sure to wear welly boots or waterproofs as it gets very muddy.
This only has a log in it bring your own pen/pencil
