Geocache Description:

This is the first cache of a series of caches along Line 3 of the Guangzhou Metro. The goal is to create an urban "Trail Cache" along this public transport line for those cachers who have trouble navigating the city.

This cache series is dedicated to ChinaWong who was the inspiration for this idea.

GEOCACHING IN CHINA NOTE: (applies to all of mainland China as of 2015) The coordinates of the geocache are correct, but the map will not display the "dot" in the right place. The actual location is usually east and south of the dot on the map.

This is why it is essential that you:

1) Rely on the compass for exact location (for some reason it is accurate even though the map is not)

2) Read all clues and description carefully.

The cache is rather small. There's room for the log sheet a small pencil and one piece of swag :) Jump on the metro to line 3's Xia Jiao station and come out of any exit. You can navigate from there. Be warned: giants guard the cache! Please use extreme stealth as this place has Muggles galore all eager to photograph the giants. Use this to your stealth advantage!

Xia Jiao/ Shaxi is famous for it's hotel/hospitality whole-sale market. Come here for anything from Beijing Duck roasters to spatulas by the container load. Import goods also exist for items like Italian made espresso machines or a Kitchen Aid mixer.
