Geocache Description:

This cache is located to the southeast of the Frisco Highline Trailhead in Springfield, Missouri. It is hidden along what used to be the path of a railroad many years ago.

Please do NOT attempt to access this cache from the interstate. Park at N 37° 14.476 W 093° 21.247.

The original cache placed near here lived a short life, so I placed a new one in its place. Hopefully this one will last longer.

This is a companion cache that compliments dc2swhill's "FHT Negative of the North Trailhead" cache (GC51XVP) in Bolivar, Missouri. That cache, like this one, is not actually located along the trail but is just to the north of it, like this cache is to the south of the trail. dc2swhill's cache is the farthest-north cache on the official Frisco Highline Trail bookmark list, and this one will be the furthest-south. The distance between these two caches is about 26 miles "as the crow flies".

You will need to descend a rather steep slope to get to the cache. Watch for thorns and the usual hazards in the woods. You are looking for a good old-fashioned ammo can. Bring your own writing utensil.

The coordinates for this cache were calculated with an average accuracy of ± 4.9 feet.

Please be sure the Ziploc baggie that contains the logbook is sealed tightly before you put it back in the cache container.

Good luck and enjoy!
