Choo Choo No.4.1 Traditional Cache

Choo Choo is a series of 6 caches placed along the old railway track that ran from Hodnet towards Wollerton, there are a couple of extras in there as well to complete the walk.The track is quite flat and accessible for bicycles and strollers. The caches terrain indicates the bit off the track that they are!

This section of the Wellington to Nantwich railway line opened on 16th October 1867, it closed to passenger services on 9th September 1963 and fully closed 4 years later in 1967 almost exactly 100 years later thanks to Dr Beeching and his short sighted policies. The track was lifted and this was completed in 1970 ensuring its abandoned future forever.

After issues with the previous cache in this area Kumonga has arrived, the time has come to reclaim what is mine! She has been heard to hiss "you and your friends befoul my island. I have come to destroy you"
