This cache is located just off the walking trail in the Rippon Landing Community Park. While walking the park trails you will see the Neabsco Creek Watershed and if you look out in the distance can glimpse the Featherstone National Wildlife Refuge. Practice CITO in the area. The park is closed at night.
I've tried to make sure that this cache can be accessed year round. I know these woods can become overgrown (especially with briers) during the summer. I assure you that there is no need to go deep into the woods. That being said, since the cache is so near to the walking trail PLEASE PUT IT BACK EXACTLY HOW YOU FOUND IT. You are looking for a small/medium Lock and Lock container that has some camo tape on it. It is large enough to hold some coins, travel bugs and small swag. Hopefully the inside makes you laugh or brings a little smile. Please BYOP.
There are two parking areas to access the cache. One is the 'official' parking lot and the other is a gravel parking area off Blackburn Road. The road parking will provide you with quick access to the cache, while the 'official' parking lot will provide you with a nice 10-15 minute stroll above the watershed.
Being a military brat from California, I have placed a beautiful California National Guard coin in the cache as a prize for the FTF. I have also placed a travel bug and some little swag.
Now go make Crankie Duck Proud!
FTF goes to reedkickball
