Geocache Description:

This cache takes you into the middle of Brisbane's hisorical district. Enjoy exploring the historical treasures around this cache. This is a popular lunch spot for office workers. So stealth is required. You should be able to find it without being too obvious.

The Queens Gardens are a heritage-listed park located in Brisbane's historical district. Stop in here and enjoy the beautiful architecture and history of the city. Queens Gardens was named in honour of Queen Victoria and there is a statue of her in the gardens in front of the Lands Administration Building.

Also in front of the building is a Royal Australian Air Force memorial and field gun. The German World War I field gun was presented to Queensland by Lord Kitchener on behalf of His Majesty King George V on 18 August 1917.

Take a seat at GZ and appreciate this little pocket of history. If you reach down from where you sit you may find some treasure hidden.
